" I wear many hats, but they're all green."

About me

I’m a campaigning consultant, a writer, a speaker, a green entrepreneur and an opinion former. In 1987, I co-founded SustainAbility , an environmental consultancy and think tank, with John Elkington . Since then I’ve written or co-written nine books, including the million selling Green Consumer Guide.

I write regularly for magazines and newspapers, sit on the board of a number of organisations and my most long-standing clients include Marks & Spencer and Procter & Gamble . In 2002, I co-founded an African charity, Haller. In 1992 I got an UN Global 500 Award for outstanding environmental achievement and in 1999 an MBE.

E for Good

In 2011, I set up E For Good, with Melinda Watson .We’re campaigning to reduce the amount of electrical waste (e-waste) as well as setting up systems to increase repair, reuse and efficient recycling. This is the focus of my work in 2012.
