Julia Hailes Blog

I wrote my first blog in 2006 about twinning the town of Glastonbury with Timbuktu.  When I pressed the button to post it online, I thought no-one would see it – it felt quite anonymous. Imagine my surprise when a few seconds later, I received a complaint and subsequently had to change it! That has made me more careful about what I say.  But I still write in an informal style from a personal point of view.  For a couple of years, my blogs were published by Telegraph online, but they wanted me to write more frequently, so I reverted to my personal blog page.  And, in 2018, I’ve moved my Blog from Blogspot to my website, so am hoping that hasn’t caused any confusion.

I really like getting comments, so long as they’re not abusive or spam, so please do let me know your thoughts. Read on….
